Prayer for a Safe and Successful School Year

Heavenly Father,

We lift up all children and young adults as they begin this new school year. Watch over them with Your loving protection—keep them safe in classrooms, hallways, and on every journey to and from school. Guard their hearts and minds from fear and harm, and surround them with peace.

Bless their teachers, mentors, and guides with wisdom, patience, and compassion, so they may nurture not only knowledge but also character and kindness. Grant each student focus, courage, and perseverance in their studies. May they grow not only in wisdom but also in confidence, compassion, and faith.

Lord, strengthen friendships that uplift and inspire, and guide them away from influences that lead them astray. Help them to use their gifts and talents well, to dream boldly, and to honor You in all they do.

We pray for a year filled with learning, joy, and discovery—one that shapes bright futures and hearts rooted in love. May every child and young adult walk through this year safe, successful, and blessed.

In Your holy name we pray,
